MNU Athletics is back! 🏟️

Every August, it feels like the campus comes to life, and having our Pioneer sports teams in action is a big contributing factor. Last month, we had some thrilling season openers, including a 5-0 W for our women's soccer team and a 27-6 W for the football team in Waxahachie, TX—some MNU football fans even made the trip down for a tailgate!

Our 60th anniversary is this year, so we've been looking back on old photos! Here's a fun then & now: a highlight of Welcome Week in 1998 was the Battle of Blue Stem, whereas Welcome Week in 2026 culminated in Paint Wars.

A lot has changed, but Olathe is still hot in August and it's still fun to get our new students soaking wet.

Kylee (Stevens ’25) Garber was recently nominated for the Kansas Horizon Award, an honor that recognizes exemplary first-year PreK-12 teachers for their work in instruction, student assessment and classroom management. She credits MNU's education faculty with preparing her for the classroom and modeling a learning environment where every student feels safe, loved and capable of succeeding.

Thanks to generous donors, our Ramsey Residence Hall was renovated this summer. Students living in this townhome-style residence were excited to see fresh paint, new flooring, fixtures, and countertops, as well as a new HVAC system. These renovations are part of a plan to renew and renovate dorms on a rotating basis. Our Uphaus and Stockton/Rice Residence Halls got some TLC this summer, too!
