It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of one of our long-serving and deeply committed members of the Board of Trustees.

Dr. John (Joe) Schwarz faithfully served The University of Olivet as a trustee from 1991–2005 and again from 2014 to the present. Across more than two decades of leadership and service, he offered steadfast support, thoughtful guidance, and a genuine love for this institution and its mission.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the entire University community, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Joe’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. We are grateful for his years of faithful service and the lasting legacy he leaves at The University of Olivet.

Funeral arrangements and service details will be shared when made available.
