A national fraternity with more than 150,000 initiated members, the stated vision of Alpha Xi Delta is to "inspire women to realize their potential." The fraternity flower is the pink rose, as chosen by the Founders to complement the white rose of Sigma Nu fraternity whose brothers helped to found Alpha Xi Delta at Lombard. The general sorority mascot is the teddy bear, the official mascot is name

d BetXi Bear. Each initiated member wears the quill which represents their open motto "The Pen is Mightier than the Sword."

Yesterday, 27 beautiful NEW members checked into the Alpha Xi hotel & are staying forever!🫂

We are overwhelmed with joy that our girls are HOME, these girls are the future of Alpha Xi Delta & we cannot wait to see where their journey takes them.

This week we will all hold close to our hearts forever. We loved getting to share just a glimpse into the friendships, laughter & love that makes our sisterhood truly one of a kind.

Dear Potential New Members😚

I am so so excited to meet all of your beautiful faces very soon! Formal Recruitment is an experience like no other. It is my favorite time of the year, and I cannot wait for you all to experience it too!

My biggest piece of advice to you, is to give yourself the opportunity to truly be present and enjoy every moment. Recruitment can feel exciting, overwhelming, and especially nerve-racking at times, but I encourage you to let yourself experience it all! Throughout the week, you will meet so many different women, each with their own stories, personalities, and experiences. Every conversation is a chance to learn something new, whether it is about our sisterhood, college life, or simply the person sitting across from you. Take it all in, and trust the process!

I also want you to know that you do not have to have everything figured out right away. You are not expected to know exactly where you belong from the very beginning. Allow yourself to explore, to change your mind, and to trust that everything happens for a reason. Recruitment is not about finding the chapter that looks perfect from the outside, it is about finding a community where you feel supported, valued, challenged, and celebrated for who you already are. When I was in your very shoes 3 years ago, I felt all of these things when I walked in the doors of Alpha Xi Delta. Joining this chapter has truly been my best decision, and I cannot imagine my life without the women in it.

Take a deep breath, trust yourself, and enjoy the process. Your story is just beginning, and I cannot wait to see where it takes you.
