In April, doctoral students Chris Engsberg and Sangwon Shin had the opportunity to attend the Society for the Neural Control of Movement conference in Kobe, Japan. Between conference sessions, they enjoyed exploring the city, taking in Kobe's unique blend of modern architecture, scenic green spaces, and stunning waterfront skyline.

Attending international conferences provides valuable opportunities to share research, connect with scientists from around the world, and experience new cultures. We are proud to see our students representing the Department of Biomechanics around the world!

New alumna Colina proves graduate school is for everyone. After raising and homeschooling her six children, Colina wanted to learn more about movement disorders and enrolled in our Master's program. She immersed herself in the research by working as a research assistant for the Movement Analysis Core, contributing to research that helps children with cerebral palsy. Congratulations, Colina!
