Last week we wrapped up another fantastic rotation with our students, Tatum Jorgensen and Morgan Wohl. We are so grateful they spent time with us at the NPA!

Tatum shared that one of her biggest takeaways was learning how to find, understand, and apply legislation to pharmacy practice. Attending HSINC was her favorite experience. She also discovered the NPA's involvement in programs like the Nebraska MEDS coalition and expanding NARCAN access, and left feeling inspired by the advocacy work happening right here in Nebraska.

Morgan focused on building her professional network during her rotation, connecting with pharmacists across diverse areas of practice. She also dug into CE research and article writing, sharpening skills she will carry throughout her career. She put it perfectly: "The NPA was the right place to start adding connections to a network she will build on for years to come."

Last Friday, we celebrated the Class of 2030 at their White Coat Ceremony, a milestone that symbolizes their commitment to learning, service, and patient care. Now, after completing their very first week of classes, their journey is officially underway!

UNMC College of Pharmacy students partnered with Nebraska Medicine & UNMC College of Nursing for a Back to School Rally! Our students provided blood pressure and blood sugar screenings of parents/guardians that attended the event with their children, along with valuable community resources and health and wellness information.

Experiences like these are what pharmacy education is all about—connecting with the community, putting knowledge into action and making a difference beyond the classroom. We couldn’t be prouder of the future pharmacists our students are becoming!

It's the first day of school at UNMC College of Pharmacy, and we're excited for our PharmD and graduate cohorts to begin!

We are here to invest in our students' success, from the first days in the classroom to final clinical rotations. As a Top 20 nationally ranked pharmacy institution, we expect excellence and are equipped to help our students achieve it.

UNMC recognized for work with educational platform, and barbecue is on the menu next week.
