Big ideas and meaningful connections are coming to the 2026 Creighton Business Symposium!

On Friday, Oct. 23, students will have the opportunity to learn from business leaders, explore potential career paths and make professional connections at one of the nation's largest student-run networking events.

When Michael O’Malley first arrived at Creighton, he was nervous about finding his place. The older students who welcomed him, answered his questions and took the time to get to know him made all the difference.

Now, as a sophomore marketing and management major, Michael is paying that experience forward.

Through Summer Preview, Welcome Week and New Student Orientation, he’s helping incoming students feel at home at Creighton while building lasting relationships of his own.

“I want to make sure the new students got as good an experience as I did,” Michael said.

His Heider experience has also expanded the way he thinks about leadership and service. Through the Magis Core, Michael has explored subjects beyond business, gaining perspectives from theology, history and English that help him approach the world from more than one point of view.

For Michael, the impact he hopes to leave at Creighton is simple: helping others feel welcomed, supported and like they’ve found their place.

“I want to be involved and give back because I have been given so much.”
