Our final post for introducing the 2025-26 cohort for Accelerate Siouxland is Luis, Genesis, and Sara! When asked about a possible encouragement to others to consider participation in future cohorts Genesis stated, “As a student this new view of the real professional world and workplace mindset is crucial for college development.” Sara also stated, “I highly recommend applying for Accelerate Siouxland to anyone looking to expand their professional network and leadership skills. The program provides a unique opportunity to build lasting connections with local peers and gain invaluable insights from their diverse experiences.” Luis stated, “Accelerate Siouxland was an awesome experience for me. I got to witness firsthand what amazing leaders we have in Siouxland and learn about how their great organizations thrive because they focus on creating an environment where each individual team member can be heard and appreciated.”
Luis, Genesis, and Sara have passion to learn, grow, and improve. Their leadership abilities, collaboration, and hard work are exceptional and we greatly appreciate them as members of the 2025-26 cohort!

Accelerate Siouxland is doing a breakfast for ALL Alumni of the program! ☕️
Any past or recent participant of Accelerate Siouxland is invited to the free breakfast at the Northwestern College Cafeteria! 😁

The event will be from 7am-8am on Tuesday, April 28th! We ask everyone coming to use the code to please RSVP.

We hope to see lots of familiar faces and enjoy a meal, catching up with all our amazing Alumni!

Congratulations to the 2026 Accelerate Siouxland cohort that graduated last Thursday (4/9/2026). Every member of this cohort has grown personally and professionally in impressive ways! Your hard work and time poured into this program has been evident and we are excited to see how far everyone goes next! A big thank you to the keynote speaker: Levi Letsche, MOC-Floyd Valley High School Principal & Maxwell Leadership Certified Team Member.
Graduation included a welcome by President Christy and Dr. Phinney presenting the Distinguished Alumni award to Taylor Decker!
Thank you to Centerpoint Church in Hawarden for hosting the final session of the year and the Faith + Community Roundtable discussions with Pastor Cy McMahon, Pastor Sylvester Bob Sojisa Holima, Pastor Missy Dokter, and Pastor Nick Koenig.

Next up for introducing the 2025-26 cohort for Accelerate Siouxland is Makayla and Anton! When asked about a possible encouragement to others to consider participation in future cohorts Makayla stated, “I highly recommend the Accelerate Siouxland program! Individuals will gain a greater appreciation for our community, inspiration from its leaders, meaningful growth (applicable to work and home), and lasting professional and personal connections.”
Anton also stated, “If you’re looking for a place to grow and connect with local leaders, Accelerate Siouxland is a fantastic opportunity.” Both Anton and Makayla contribute immensely to the group, have passion to improve, and exhibit extreme hard work! Over the next few weeks we will be introducing out 2025-26 Accelerate Siouxland cohort!
Next up for introducing the 2025-26 cohort for Accelerate Siouxland is Brynn and Sarah!
When asked about a possible encouragement to others to consider participation in future cohorts Sarah stated, “Accelerate Siouxland is an excellent opportunity for professionals who want to sharpen their leadership skills while learning alongside peers who are equally committed to growth.”
Brynn also stated, “One of the most valuable aspects of Accelerate Siouxland is the opportunity to learn from leaders representing a wide range of backgrounds within our community.” Both Sarah and Brynn show up to Accelerate Siouxland ready to improve themselves and learn! They are extremely hard workers and we greatly appreciate them as members of our 2025-26 cohort.

Accelerate Siouxland’s March session took place on March 12.
The subtopic was Politics and Government. A huge thank you goes out to the Le Mars City Council as they very generously hosted the location and to Premier Communication who provided the excellent lunch! Speakers included Scott Te Stroete and Alex Watters who gave well informed and instructive professional insight from their experiences of being in positions such as on the City Council and School Board!

Next up for introducing the 2025-26 cohort for Accelerate Siouxland is Kody and April!
When asked about a possible encouragement to others to consider participation in future cohorts Kody stated, “Accelerate Siouxland is a great opportunity to meet peers from surrounding communities that seem so far away, but in reality are living very similar lifestyles and circumstances that we all are even if they reside in a different zip code.” April also stated, “I would absolutely encourage others to consider a future cohort. The program offers a supportive environment to learn, reflect, and grow alongside others who are committed to improvement. It’s been a valuable experience that continues to influence how I approach my work and relationships.” They are fantastic team members and they show exceptional initiative and a drive to learn more!

Next up for introducing the 2025-26 cohort for Accelerate Siouxland is Lisa and Michael!
When asked about a possible encouragement to others to consider participation in future cohorts Lisa stated, “Learning effective time management skills as a leader both in the work place and home life has been very beneficial.” Michael also stated, “Accelerate Siouxland gives you tools you can use immediately-and the accountability to actually use them. I’d recommend it to anyone serious about growth.” They are great team members and learners in the cohort and we love how they work so hard to learn and grow!
