We are excited to announce our 2026-2027 season! Directors and designers have already begun planning for these shows, so get ready for a sweet storybook musical, an exploration of grief and forgiveness, the friendship and resilience of female scientists, and a powerful Greek tragedy.

The Northwestern College Theatre Department celebrates "An Enemy of the People" once more, this time at the national level. The American College Theatre Festival awarded 11 NATIONAL honors for the production of "An Enemy of the People" at the Region 5 Festival in Rochester, Minnesota. These accolades go beyond the 32 honors already awarded at the regional festival.

Congratulations to all who participated in this production and helped bring the show all the way to Minnesota. Thank you for supporting our department and for making it possible to receive such honors.

This week, we look back on the 2005-2006 season.

Our children's show, "David and Goliath" was written and directed by Jeff Barker.

"Sky Girls" was directed by Karen Barker.

"The Dead" was directed by Dr. Robbert Hubbard.

The world premiere of "Beautiful Broken" was directed by Amy Leigh Lightfoot.

Finally, "The Doctor In Spite of Himself" was directed by Eric Hagen.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, April 22, at 7:30pm, there is an opportunity to come see two wonderful one acts!! The night will include two student directed and student performed pieces: "Trifles" directed by Dana Sorenson and "House" written and directed by Charlee Olson. These two students have worked throughout the semester, guided by Molly Wiebe Faber as part of a directed study. You do not need to purchase a ticket, just stop by and enjoy the show!
