Compassion has no borders.

During their study abroad experience in Cambodia, UVU nursing students worked alongside local healthcare professionals to promote health education in rural communities, including teaching hand hygiene to primary school students. Through service, collaboration, and cultural exchange, they're building the skills to make a difference wherever their careers take them.

169 children. 583 pediatric patients. $153,025 in care.

This summer, eight UVU Dental Hygiene students traveled to Guatemala for a study abroad service-learning experience with Global Dental Relief.

Through long days and challenging conditions, students provided dental hygiene services and oral health education to 169 children while assisting dentists in caring for 583 pediatric patients.

Beyond the numbers, students gained clinical experience, strengthened their cultural understanding, and saw firsthand the impact they can make through their profession.

A meaningful experience in the clinic, and memories they’ll carry far beyond it.

As we’re back on campus and starting a new semester, we’re reflecting on an incredible summer of global learning!

Our first-ever UVU Occupational Therapy Assistant cohort traveled to Yogyakarta, Indonesia, alongside UVU Master of Social Work students, faculty, and international peers through a UNESCO-supported learning experience.

Students explored aging, geriatric assessment, community-based care, interprofessional collaboration, and person-centered healthcare.

Experiences like these remind us that learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. We’re excited to bring these new perspectives, connections, and experiences into the school year ahead!

A big milestone for UVU’s Physician Assistant Program!

The Master of Physician Assistant Studies program has advanced from Accreditation-Provisional to Accreditation-Continued following a successful provisional review and site visit. This achievement reflects the hard work of our faculty, staff, and students and their commitment to preparing compassionate, clinically skilled providers.

And the results speak for themselves: the Class of 2026 achieved a 100% first-time PANCE pass rate, bringing the program’s total to 83 graduates across its first three cohorts.

Congratulations to everyone who helped make this milestone possible!
