Academics and entrepreneurs from around the world have joined the faculty at the UCF College of Engineering and Computer Science for the Fall 2026 semester. ✨

A total of 16 new faculty from Mexico, Colombia, Germany and the U.S. bring a wide range of expertise to six of the college’s seven academic units. This group includes industry scientists, research faculty and UCF alumni who specialize in fields such as nuclear engineering, robotic systems, coastal hazards, efficient computation, biomechanics and system optimization.

Northrop Grumman is offering a series of aeronautics systems tech talks for students starting next month. The goal of these talks is to showcase various groups within the aeronautics systems sector at Northrop Grumman so that attendees can learn more about the group, the type of work done and the company as a whole.

Six 30-minute tech talks will be hosted virtually between Sept. 1-3 and include a Q&A session:

Congratulations to Assistant Professor Amrit Singh Bedi! His research on making AI systems safer was funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) with a one-year, $340,000 grant. He and his team will study AI systems and determine how to train them to withstand failures, attacks and unexpected situations.
