Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson will be showing October 15th, 16th and 17th at 7:30pm and October 18th at 2pm.

Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson follows America’s seventh president from his early days as a child on the wild frontier to his controversial reign in the White House. With the country divided between rich and poor—and continued conflicts with Native Americans shaping the new nation—Jackson rises from military strategist to populist rabble-rouser to President of the United States. Along the way, he meets his wife, Rachel, challenges the Founding Fathers, and rocks like no political figure ever has, backed by an onstage trio and an entourage of singing, joking cohorts.

Created by Michael Friedman (Love’s Labour’s Lost, The Fortress of Solitude) and Alex Timbers (Love’s Labour’s Lost, Peter and the Starcatcher), Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson imagines an alternate history while drawing parallels to today’s political and populist landscape through outrageous comedy, anarchic theatricality, and an infectious rock score. The musical also poses the question: Is wanting to have a b**r with someone reason enough to elect them? What if they’re really, really hot?

All of the performances will be held at the Valencia College East Campus Performing Arts Center
701 N Econlockhatchee Trail, Orlando, FL 32825, USA.

Tickets are $15 for general public and $10 for Student/Senior/Military/Faculty/Staff

The Anita S. Wooten Gallery invites you to “No One Famous, Nowhere Special,” an exhibition that explores painting as an act of participation. Through portraits, landscapes, and still lifes, Dennis Schmalstig records the riches of his environment as well as his process of engaging with them—an active reflection upon life’s many fragments.
Please join us for the opening reception at 6pm on September 17, 2026, followed by an artist talk at 7pm.
Light refreshments will be provided alongside a piano performance by Valencia College Faculty, David Yu.
The exhibition will remain on view until October 16, 2026, during regular gallery hours: 8am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
As always, our exhibitions are free and open to the public. We look forward to seeing you there!

CASTING CALL: BLACK FOX in BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON
Valencia College is seeking a Native American/Indigenous actor for the role of Black Fox in our upcoming production of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson.
BLACK FOX
Any adult age • Any gender • Native American / Indigenous
Black Fox is an intelligent, somber Native leader and former ally of Andrew Jackson whose presence carries dignity, danger, and the human cost of Jackson’s choices. The role is non-singing and is a significant dramatic presence in the show’s exploration of Andrew Jackson’s legacy and the forced removal of Native peoples.
Previous professional theatre experience is welcome but not required; we are primarily looking for a strong actor who can bring intelligence, presence, gravity, and complexity to the character.
Location: Valencia College — East Campus, Orlando, FL
Performance Dates:
Thursday, October 15 — 7:30 PM
Friday, October 16 — 7:30 PM
Saturday, October 17 — 7:30 PM
Sunday, October 18 — 2:00 PM
Rehearsals Dates:
Rehearsals are underway and will take place primarily on weekday evenings from 7-10pm and Saturdays from 12-6pm. Black Fox would not need to be present at every rehearsal, and we can work around the actor’s existing schedule outside of tech the week prior to performances.
Interested or know someone who might be a good fit?
Please contact director Liv Tyndall at [email protected] with your name, contact information, and a brief introduction. Headshots/resumés are welcome but not required.
