This mission of the Department of Housing and Residence Life is to provide undergraduate students living in university owned and affiliated housing with a safe and secure environment that is conducive to academic achievement. In addition to providing supervision and resident services in the living units, the department promotes the personal growth and development of each resident through intention

al programming efforts. In partnership with other units within the Division of Student Development and Enrollment Services and the larger university community, the department strives to foster scholarship as a fundamental purpose, instills a sense of community, and supports individual integrity and excellence.

As you prepare for move-in, we want to remind incoming residents & families that we do not offer housekeeping services in on-campus housing.
All residents are expected to keep their own spaces clean, including bathrooms. We encourage Knights & families to ensure incoming residents are prepared to do laundry, declutter regularly, and keep their spaces clean all semester.

Each community has specific unloading zones and long-term parking zones. Incoming residents can find details in their community's move-in guide: https://www.housing.ucf.edu/fall-2026-move-in-guides/.

Families are allowed to park in long-term parking without a parking pass starting at 8 AM on Thursday, August 20, 2026, until 7 AM on Monday, August 24, 2026.
