Chloe Artrip ’19 ’23 DPT initially envisioned a future in criminal justice before discovering her passion for physical therapy through shadowing experiences. She would go on to earn a bachelor’s degree in health sciences, a doctorate in physical therapy, and be named a UCF 30 Under 30 honoree for her outstanding accomplishments as a young professional.
Today, she specializes in neurologic rehabilitation, vestibular care and the treatment of postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, helping patients regain function, confidence and independence. She credits UCF with providing the strong academic foundation, clinical experience and supportive environment that prepared her to become a well-rounded clinician.
Artrip encourages current students to embrace every opportunity that comes their way. Whether through volunteering, research, student organizations, networking or hands-on clinical experiences, she believes the experiences outside the classroom often have the greatest impact.
“You never know which opportunity might change your trajectory,” she says.
For Artrip, the most rewarding part of her career is helping patients reclaim their lives after debilitating injuries or complex medical conditions. She believes exceptional healthcare starts with empathy and connection.
“Every person wants to feel heard,” she says. “Listening and building trust are essential to providing great care.”
