🔹 Every June, we come together to honor the past, celebrate the present, and fight for a more inclusive future.
🔹 Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall Riots of June 28, 1969, when LGBTQ+ individuals at the Stonewall Inn in NYC courageously resisted police brutality and discrimination. That moment sparked a global movement for LGBTQ+ civil rights 🏳️🌈
🔹 57 years later, we continue to celebrate Pride as a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come, and how far we still have to go.
🔹 True allyship starts with awareness. By learning about the intersectional identities and lived experiences within the LGBTQ+ community, we create space for everyone to be seen, heard, and valued.
🏳️🌈 To all our brothers, sisters, and friends who celebrate, we see you, we support you, and we celebrate with you. Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈
