𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝑳𝑺𝑼?: I was always interested in joining a fraternity for a while but felt like I never belonged or could provide anything meaningful to an org until I had met some LSU brothers. I loved how they were always supportive of everything that I do and always wanted the best for me which made me wanted to become an Upsilon man who helped in spreading positivity and whimsy :3! I am very proud to be with a group of men who are able to let me be myself and help support me in anything I wish to pursue like having a dog on my line jacket (Thank you Cacique!🫰)

𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝑳𝑺𝑼?: LSU offers the opportunity for self growth and the ability to help other like minded individuals grow. It has also shown me that the brothers before me moved with purpose to uplift not only Latino men but for all men within our communities. These are a few reasons why I am proud to call myself an Upsilon Man today.
𝑭𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝑴𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝒂𝒔 𝒂 𝑩𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓: At our NMP I got the privilege of being surprised by my Pana who flew from New Jersey to be apart of that very special moment when we hit the yard for the first time. The outpour of love and support from our brotherhood lives with me since that moment. Also getting to meet so many brothers for various chapters at our recent convention and creating new bonds with them regardless of how far or close they are.

𝑴𝒂𝒋𝒐𝒓: B.A. ‘26, Political Science
𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝑳𝑺𝑼?: I chose LSU to find a community that goes beyond bloodlines and borders and to reconnect with my cultural roots. For me, LSU is more than just a brotherhood; it’s a family built on shared values, support, and lifelong bonds. Reconnecting with my Puerto Rican heritage and Taino roots was especially important, since I’ve moved around a lot as a military brat and visited the island only occasionally. I wanted to stay connected beyond just genetics. When I saw LSU’s symbol was the Taino head, I knew it was the right fit for me. Growing up as a military kid overseas exposed me to many cultures and languages. Although LSU is Latino-based, it wasn’t exclusive to Latinos, which made it an even better choice for me.
𝑭𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝑴𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝒂𝒔 𝒂 𝑩𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓: Spending time with my family tree always hits home. One of my most treasured memories with my Pana is when he surprised me by flying down from New Jersey to support my NMP and celebrate with me. The date changed last minute, and he initially said he wouldn’t make it, but he still showed up, which meant the world to me. With my Big, it was instant connection, no awkward phase, just an easy, natural bond. We once went for a coffee date, and I realized we both share a drive to push beyond our limits. Both of them have had an enormous, almost indescribable impact on me. Los quiero, Pana & Big 🩵🤍

𝗨𝗽𝗦𝗶𝗟𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗥𝗮𝗩𝗲𝗟𝗦: Over the Summer, our Brother, Evan “𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗼” Sierra visited Puerto Rico to visit his family. While in PR, Evan visited places such as El Yunque, Pinero Island and went shopping at the Zara x Bad Bunny store in San Juan. Thank you to Greek Tikis & Paraphernalia for allowing us to your image!
