Bangladesh Student Association (BSA) at the University of Maine is excited to invite you to our Pohela Boishakh celebration!

Let’s congratulate Rafiul Ahmed !

Rafiul earned his Master's in Applied Economics from the School of Economics, University of Maine, in Spring 2026. He also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant, with research spanning PFAS and consumer confidence, seafood consumption barriers, and aquaculture market analysis.
During his time at UMaine, he was honored with the Roger D. Cooper Outstanding International Graduate Student Award for two consecutive years (2024–25 and 2025–26). He also served as Vice President of the 2nd BSA-UMaine Executive Committee, President of the School of Economics Graduate Student Club, and Senator in the Graduate Student Government.

This Coffee Hour may have been the last Coffee Hour for some students, while for others, it may have been their first.

We, the Bangladeshi Students Association, are truly grateful to everyone who came to join the event and taste Bangladeshi local cuisine cooked by Bangladeshi students.

For those who missed the event this time, hopefully you will get another chance next year to taste our local food.
