At the 2026 Pinning Ceremony, we celebrated our nursing graduates as they received the nursing pin, a tradition dating back to the 1860s that symbolizes compassion, dedication, and the commitment to patient care. This ceremony marks the transition from student to professional nurse and honors the hard work, resilience, and heart each graduate has shown along the way.

Future nurses experienced a day on campus through Nursing Visit Day, an event designed to help students explore what it means to study nursing at William Penn.

Held twice each year, the day gives prospective students the chance to meet nursing faculty and staff, connect with current nursing students, and learn more about the program in a welcoming, community-centered environment.

Students toured campus, shared lunch together, and participated in a panel discussion where current nursing students answered questions about classes, clinical experiences, and life as a Statesmen. The conversation offered honest insight while also reflecting the support and mentorship that define the program.

Grounded in the Quaker tradition of community, service, and thoughtful learning, Nursing Visit Day creates space for future healthcare leaders to ask questions, build connections, and take their next steps toward a career in nursing.
