Meet Erin Layton, the writer and performer behind the one-woman play Magdalen, coming to campus on September 17th.
Based in Brooklyn, she is an award-winning solo performing artist, producer, and published playwright. Erin’s previous acting credits include the two person adaptation of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe (Off-Broadway Alliance Nominee), Let Us Go Then, You and I (Undergroundzero Theatre Festival), and Weird Sisters (East Third Ensemble), among others.
Magdalen, Erin's first full-length play and solo performance, was published by Indie Theatre Now, presented at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and shortlisted for an Amnesty International Award. It has previously been presented at The Kumble Theater, the New York City Irish Center, Lehman College, and Hofstra University, among others.
