Allison Blincoe, an Associate in Arts graduate, is continuing her educational journey through the WKU/OCTC Dual Enrollment program as she works toward earning her bachelor's degree in Criminology. In addition to her studies, Allison works as a CNA with 2ND Home, a home health care program, where she provides compassionate, patient-centered care. She credits OCTC with giving her a strong foundation of knowledge, practical skills, and hands-on experience while helping build the confidence and professionalism needed to succeed in her career.

Some of Allison's favorite courses included Psychology and Social Work, which strengthened her understanding of people and reinforced her passion for helping others. One of her proudest accomplishments has been developing the skills and confidence needed to provide high-quality care while continuing to grow professionally. Reflecting on her experience, Allison says, "One of the most valuable lessons I learned during my studies was the importance of staying focused and putting in consistent effort." She believes that discipline, time management, and perseverance are key to achieving success both in the classroom and beyond. Allison encourages current and future students to stay committed to their goals, believe in themselves, and take advantage of every opportunity available as they build a foundation for their future.

Kelsey Ruth, an Associate in Applied Science graduate in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education, is making a difference as a Teacher Assistant at Seven Hills Head Start. Through the education and knowledge gained at OCTC, Kelsey developed a deeper understanding of childhood behavior and how to best support young learners. Psychology was a favorite course, and one of the most valuable lessons learned was that every student learns differently and progresses at their own pace. Achieving High Distinction while learning from mentors such as Professor Edward Morris and Professor Kaye Brown made the journey especially meaningful. Kelsey credits much of this success to the determination and persistence inspired by a late aunt, Professor Debbie Ruth, whose influence continues to have a lasting impact.

Currently working as a CNA at Ohio County Healthcare. Autumn credits her education to opening the door to a new world of medical terminology and helping connect classroom science concepts to real-world applications. Biology was a favorite course and played a key role in building a strong foundation for future career goals. One of the most valuable skills gained throughout the program was time management, which continues to be essential both professionally and academically. Looking ahead, Autumn is excited to continue the educational journey and is currently enrolling in a Veterinary Technician program to further pursue a passion for animal care and medicine.

From entrepreneur to future IT professional, Terryn's journey is one of reinvention, perseverance, and success.

A Ballard High School graduate, Terryn stepped outside her comfort zone to pursue a degree in Computer Information Technology with a focus in Computer Programming at OCTC. Through hard work, determination, and the support of loved ones, she has reached this incredible milestone.

As she prepares to transfer to Western Kentucky University and continue her studies in Computer Information Technology, Terryn is setting her sights on a rewarding career in Healthcare IT.

Jayci is officially Going Pro as she takes the next step—transferring to Kentucky Wesleyan College to pursue a degree in Accounting!

After earning her Associate in Arts at OCTC, Jayci balanced school, work, and financial responsibilities while staying active in her church and community. With determination and clear goals ahead, she’s working toward becoming a CPA and continuing her education.
