Brescia University Social Work is proud to recognize Dr. Elaine Wright for her contribution to the recent publication, “Support, Reciprocity, and Kinship as Seeds of Indigenous Family Resilience During COVID-19.”

This important research explored how Indigenous families coped with the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, with particular attention to the protective factors Indigenous women identified as helping to buffer pandemic-related stress for themselves and their families.

Dr. Wright’s scholarship reflects the social work profession’s commitment to honoring cultural strengths, elevating community voices, and understanding the relationships and resources that help families remain resilient during difficult times.
