The Department of Art invites you to discover the creative community during Art & Design Day on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Join us in the Art Building on the Oxford, Ohio campus to explore our programs, tour our facilities, and experience what it means to be a RedHawk artist. Across Miami University’s College of Creative Arts, students have opportunities to perform, exhibit their work, collaborate on projects, gain hands-on experience, and turn their ideas into something real.

Come and experience the exhibitions today (Oct 15) in Hiestand Hall at the opening reception from 4:30-5:30 PM.

Then meet some of the artists during the artist panel discussion taking place in the Art Building (Art 100) also tonight from 5:50-7 PM.

Finally, come back on Saturday evening (Oct 17) between 7-10 PM for the projection event featuring animations and works on the outside of the Art Building with food, music and dance.

Congratulations to Ryan Fisher, our dean, who has been elected to the International Council for Arts Deans (ICfAD) Board of Directors for the 2026-2027 leadership year. Fisher will serve a three-year term on the board, which brings together arts administrators from higher education institutions around the world.

Fisher will serve a three-year term, joining arts leaders from institutions across the United States and internationally.
