Lake Erie College School of Equine Studies Lake Erie College has 5 majors in Equine Studies, a minor and concentrations to go with your major.

Lake Erie College, founded in 1856, provides an excellent, inclusive, and highly personalized education grounded in the liberal arts tradition. Guided by hope and care, our students are empowered to lead lives of personal significance and professional success as global citizens. We offer 35 undergraduate majors and master’s programs in business administration, professional studies, education, and physician assistant studies. Our students compete in 19 NCAA Division II varsity sports and on three intercollegiate equestrian teams.

From training days to busy show weekends, we’re always looking for ways to support the comfort, recovery, and overall well-being of our equine athletes. BEMER has become a favorite part of our routine, helping support circulation and relaxation before and after competition.

Our horses love their BEMER time — and honestly, we think they know exactly what it means when it comes out! 🐎✨

MEET THE 2026–27 LEC EQUESTRIAN TEAMS!

The rosters are set, the horses are getting ready, and the Lake Erie College School of Equine Studies teams are officially kicking off another competition season!

This year, we’re proud to welcome our student-athletes representing LEC in IHSA Hunt Seat, IHSA Western, and IDA Dressage. Each discipline brings its own challenges, goals, and opportunities, but they all share one thing: a whole lot of hard work, horsemanship, and team spirit.

IHSA WESTERN

The Western team is hitting the road THIS SATURDAY to open the 2026–27 competition season! We can’t wait to see this team get to work.
