The LEC Italian Studies students: 1) Ximena Rea, 2) Owen Sullivan were awarded a grant of a total of $4,000 for their achievements in Italian Studies. Sponsored by the Italian Culture club “Il Cenacolo” of Cleveland. Congratulations to the winners!

Italian cuisine has officially been recognized on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list, a historic first for any national cuisine.
As Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said, “We are the first in the world to receive this recognition, which honors who we are and our identity. For us Italians, cuisine is more than just food or a collection of recipes… it’s culture, tradition, work and wealth.”
