Trinity’s story began with a community of leaders who envisioned a place from which God would call followers who would do, not simply believe, and who would live their faith boldly. “If we begin with Christ and continue with Christ,” they said, “we have the assurance that we will be blessed.”
For 67 years, Trinity has lived into that calling as a place of whole-person living and learning, committed to preparing generations for Christ-like service in this world.
Today, we give thanks for all that Trinity has been and for all that will endure beyond its closing.
As our academic operations come to a close, we reflect on the final moments we shared as a community these last few months.
• At our last OPUS on April 22, we saw Christian scholarship on display, showing immense promise for not only Trinity students’ futures, but for those who will collaborate and learn from them in generations to come.
• At the Legacy Celebration Service on May 7, we overflowed the Ozinga Chapel to remember and celebrate our beloved Trinity, a testament to the legacy built together over more than six decades.
• At our final Commencement on May 8, we bore witness to the final class of Trinity graduates, a group marked by grace and perseverance—with more than 250 students completing their Trinity degrees.
• On Wednesday, July 29, Trinity Christian College closed on the sale of its campus to Chicago Christian Educational Opportunity, LLC. We are grateful that the Chicago Christian community will continue to steward the land and buildings we love well.
These are just a few of the sacred moments and memories from Trinity’s final season that we carry forward with us from this place.
And now, as we celebrate our final graduates, confer our last degrees, bless and release our physical property into new hands, transfer records to , and transition into new homes as staff and faculty—this will be Trinity Christian College’s final post.
Yet Trinity lives on in the lives of every student, alum, faculty member, staff member, donor, partner, neighbor, and friend shaped by 67 years of faithful formation. We thank each of you for the role you played in living out the mission of Trinity Christian College. And we thank our God for the opportunity to be shaped by this place in return.
