BRIGHT & GREEN BRINGS THE NEW GLOBAL REUSE SYMBOL TO CAL POLY HUMBOLDT
HUMBOLDT — One Symbol. One Shared Future.
On Saturday, October 10, Bright & Green will bring the new Global Reuse Symbol to Cal Poly Humboldt, connecting our local community to an international movement making reuse more visible, recognizable, and accessible.
At the event, Bright & Green dish stations will feature the new symbol, helping guests understand where to return their reusable cups, plates, and utensils.
The system is simple: use it, return it, and reuse it.
Bright & Green provides clean reusable foodware, supports return stations, collects used dishes, and sends them to wash partners so they can be ready for the next gathering. Every returned dish helps keep useful materials in circulation.
This effort is made possible in part through SHIFT — the Sustainable Humboldt Innovative Futures Trust — turning student investment into a practical sustainability system that thousands of event guests can participate in.
Students, organizers, staff, volunteers, wash partners, and community members all play a role. Together, we are showing how local partnerships can make reuse part of the event experience.
And what an event it will be.
Durand Jones & The Indications, Thee Sinseers, The Altons, and HISpanic! At the Disco will take the stage, bringing music, community, and collective action together.
SO WHEN THE MUSIC STOPS, DON’T FORGET YOUR DISH.
Return it.
Keep it in circulation.
Make reuse normal.
Bright & Green is proud to join reuse collaborators around the world in building a future where returning and reusing everyday items becomes second nature.
Cal Poly Humboldt, this is your chance to be part of something bigger.
Look for the symbol. Bring your dishes back.
Bright & Green — Make Reuse Normal.
