UNLV Professor Steffen Lehmann Joins International Exhibition and Continues Role on Global Research Jury and Awards Program
Professor Steffen Lehmann of the UNLV School of Architecture has been invited to participate in the group exhibition ‘Peripheries, Peripherocene’, which will be on display from 19 November to 4 December 2026 at Custom Lane Gallery, Design Centre, Edinburgh, Scotland. Prof. Cameron McEwan (UK) and Prof.Andreas Lechner (Austria) curate the exhibition. The event marks the release of the special issue Peripheries, published in the Journal of Architecture, Vol. 31 (September 2026, RIBA and Taylor & Francis, London). Lehmann’s exhibition component entitled ‘The Edge of the City’ investigates the continually shifting fringe of Las Vegas’ periphery.
In 2026, Professor Lehmann maintains his involvement with several international juries and review panels, beginning with a reappointment to his fourth year on the jury of the VMark, Vietnam's most prestigious annual design awards program. https://www.vietnamdesignweek.org/vmark-2027
Lehmann also continues evaluating grant proposals for the Horizon Europe Urban Regeneration funding program as an external reviewer for the European Commission in Brussels.
In addition, the Australian Research Council in Canberra has reappointed him as a Grant Assessor for the Discovery and Linkage funding programs in 2026.
Lehmann has acted as an expert evaluator for both funding bodies over a period of several years.
