CJO is starting a donation drive for the Gustke Shelter. If you can donate clothes, shoes or hygiene products to help out children, it would be greatly appreciated.

CJO’s Valentine Fundraiser went very well! Thank you to the local businesses that donated: Mackenzies Flowerworks & Gifts, Texas Roadhouse, Logan’s Roadhouse, The Greenhouse, Pretty Nails Vienna and Golden Nails. The gift baskets have been given to their winner, we sold out of the flowers and baked goods! Thank you all for supporting CJO!

CJO will be holding a Valentine’s Day Fundraiser! We will have flowers, cookies, pepperoni rolls and raffling off our gift baskets! We have had several local businesses donate flowers and gift cards! Here is a preview of the gift baskets our members put together! The Fundraiser will be 02/13 - 02/14 in the student lounge at WVUP from 10-1! Gift basket drawings will be on 02/14 at 1!

WVUP hosted the 2023 West Virginia Criminal Justice Educators Association (WVCJEA)Conference! WVUP’s Criminal Justice Organization (CJO) took first place in the crime scene competition and placed second in the quiz bowl! We appreciate everyone that came out and participated in the competitions! We also had the opportunity to hear from amazing speakers discuss The Intersection of Behavioral Health and Criminal Justice! A huge shout out to our Professors, Amy and Andrew for putting this conference together and to several of our criminal justice students who helped with important details.

CJO had fun with WVUP’s trunk or treat this evening! We had an amazing turn out. The Thriller zombies came and surprised us all with a dance! The clue crew enjoyed seeing all the costumes! (Colonel Mustard in the ballroom with the candlestick!) Thanks to everyone who came out.

In addition to the Clothesline Project, CJO will be collecting items for the Family Crisis Intervention Center. They need kitchen size trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap and body wash. Items can be dropped off at the Courtroom (Room 0404), CJ Lab (Room 0125) or the Division of Professional Studies Office (Room 1020).
