The Caltech Ballroom Dance Club aims to promote the growth of dancing at Caltech. We want to build an energetic and viable dance community on campus, and hope that you will join us! In addition to our classes on many ballroom and social styles, we also host many sp

ecial workshops and fun parties, as well as organizing trips to nearby events. We also have a competitive ballroom dance team that travels to regional ballroom dance competitions.

Fall ballroom classes start next week! This quarter, we will be holding both Beginner AND Intermediate Ballroom classes. We also offer membership for advanced dancers. If you're not sure which class you should register for, you can email me ([email protected]) or our team email ([email protected]), or just show up to the class you think you should be in.

Beginner classes will be Wednesday 8:30-10:30 PM starting Sept 30th.
Intermediate classes will be Sunday 4-6PM starting Oct 4th.
Practices will be Mondays 8:30-10:30PM.

Both classes and practice will be held in Braun Gym MPR. It's a much nicer floor, so feel free to wear your dance shoes.

The format will be slightly different this year. The first two weeks of class will be free. After that, you will need to buy team membership for the quarter in order to attend the classes. We will alternate which dances we work on. This means that we will be able to have more consistent attendance and won't have to worry about neglecting any certain dance for 2 months straight. Each class will still have Standard and Latin portions.
