San Gabriel Valley Bruins The San Gabriel Valley Bruins is UCLA's regional alumni network for the San Gabriel Valley area. 💙💛

The UCLA Rose Bowl Bruins regional alumni group was formed in 1982 when UCLA football moved to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. This move provided a great opportunity to create a new alumni support group in the area. Since our inception, we have been dedicated to supporting the greater interests of the University and building Bruin community to help local alumni stay connected. Members of the UCLA Rose Bowl Bruins actively participate in community service projects, scholarship activities, and cultural, athletic, networking and family-friendly events that support UCLA and local alumni interests. The Rose Bowl Bruins board of directors are volunteers who plan cultural, educational, scholarship, networking and social events throughout the year. Bruins living and working in Pasadena, San Gabriel Valley, areas of Northeast Los Angeles and the surrounding neighborhoods are invited to get involved. Our network membership is drawn from the communities of Bradbury, Monrovia, Duarte, El Monte, Rosemead, Temple City, San Marino, San Gabriel, Alhambra, South Pasadena, Pasadena, Arcadia, Sierra Madre, Altadena, Sunland, Montrose, La Crescenta, La Canada-Flintridge, Eagle Rock, Los Feliz and eastern parts of Glendale.

🏀 UCLA Alumni networks came together for a WNBA game watch for the final home game of the LA Sparks this season and a send-off for Nneka Ogwumike for her final career game. 🫶

We cheered for the Sparks but also had a soft spot for the Valkyries - coached by Natalie Nakase, former UCLA Bruins point guard and team captain.

Shout out to APA prez Angela for taking on the laboring oar and putting this event together for all of us! 💙💛

💙🐻💛 Another successful send-off in the SGV for New Bruins! It was a 🌡️hot day but no problem for the cool kids! 😎

🎉 To our newest Bruins: Welcome to the UCLA family!! Congratulations! And best wishes as you embark on your UCLA journey!
🎉

Also a shout out to everyone who came to help and support the SGV Bruins network as the next chapter of fun events and positive vibes for UCLA alums in the SGV begins.

And a special thanks to the True Bruins who traveled from afar -- Westside, South Bay and Orange County! -- to help with setup, planning and overall support.

• Candice, Steve, Flor and Patricia from the UCLA Parents' Council.

• Sally from the APA of UCLA Board.

• Ron from the UCLA Alum Assoc Board, among his many other hats. ;-)

• UCLA alum volunteers Nick and Helen who came early to help with setup (and Nick for driving out to Porto's even earlier!).

• Megan (and pup) and the Wescom folks who added to the fun vibes of the day.
