This Wednesday (February 10th) from 4:00-5:30pm PST Designmatters at ArtCenter College of Design is hosting an interactive workshop, “change default settings: how design thinking is a rebrand for white supremacy” with Darin Buzon.

Darin will discuss how the current state of design is simply a digitally updated status quo. When the default is white, how can design as a “neutral” tool serve anything but whiteness? Students will be guided to experiment on “changing their default settings” and explore together how we want our “default settings” to authentically be and be seen.

February's Cultural Appreciation Series focuses on Black History Month! This year’s theme, The Black Family, had us reminiscing about our last trip to California African American Museum where we learned about the legacy, contributions and struggles of countless black Americans. The more we can learn about our past the better prepared we can be for our future!

Improv Club SU18

Hello! We’re the Art Center Improv club! We meet on Mondays from 7pm to 10pm in room 642 in 1111! Here’s an example of an improv game we might play at our meetings where each person can only speak in a sentences of a certain number of words. Many of our games rely on audience participation so even if you don’t want to perform everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the show!
