It's not too early to start thinking about applications for summer research in 2026! Caltech's WAVE fellowships program is a 10-week immersive, on-campus experience for undergraduates in STEM. Learn more about WAVE: https://sfp.caltech.edu/undergraduate-research/programs/wavefellows.
The application deadline for WAVE is January 9, 2026.

The KNI SURF-the-WAVE (STW) prize is open to WAVE fellows who are non-Caltech undergraduate students and who will pursue a nanoscience-related project during the summer. The STW prize supports a student's WAVE stipend; provides complimentary access to our multi-user nanofabrication facility, the KNI Laboratory; and offers several supplemental networking opportunities throughout the summer. Kavli-Caltech Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship

Established in 2016, the Caltech Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship aims to diversify the future professoriate by supporting a diverse and inclusive postdoctoral community on campus.

Thanks to the generous support of the Kavli Foundation, postdocs working in nanoscience are eligible for 2 years of full
funding, up to $90,000/year.

Very proud to support Caltech Connection -- an amazing near-peer mentorship program started by our former KNI-Wheatley Scholar professor Scott Cushing.

A unique program, led by chemist Scott Cushing, pairs Caltech grad students and postdocs with undergraduate students from schools without strong research programs, and both benefit.
