Our History

The Eta Eta Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated. was organized April 14, 1984, in Petersburg, VA at Petersburg High School. Annually, we have provided scholarship funds for nursing students locally and/or nationally; made donations to other non-profit organizations such as United Negro College Funds, nationally, CARES shelter for women and children, and Mary Carter Beacon House, locally.

We have supported or provided community programs and projects to citizens in the Tri-City area and surrounding counties, for individuals, Health Fairs, Relay for Life cancer project, VSU Cares project with the Dental Association and Mission of Mercy Charity Organization. We have provided our own educational programs with Black History, Heart Diseases, Hypertension, Stroke, Diabetes, and other Disease Prevention programs in the areas. And, we maintain membership with the National Council of Negro Women.
