We are so excited to announce that the North Central Michigan College Library and the Petoskey District Library are partnering to offer Education Cards to any current North Central student! Starting with the Fall 2020 semester, North Central students can sign up for a one year, non-resident PDL card at no charge, giving users access to a greater variety of print books, eBooks, audiobooks, and more. We are hiring! The NCMC Library is looking for Student Library Workers for the Fall semester. If you like working with people and being around books, this is the job for you.

Responsibilities: Manning the Circulation Desk, helping patrons with their needs, checking books in and out, book processing, and more.

Hours: The Library is open from 8 am – 7 pm, Monday – Thursday, and 8 am – 5 pm on Friday. We are closed on weekends and during campus breaks. Shifts will depend on your class schedule/availability. We ask for a commitment of at least 8 hours per week.

Compensation: $9.65 per hour.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the North Central Michigan College Library is currently closed to the public. Staff will continue to work during this time, so please email [email protected] or call us at 231-348-6615 if you have a library-related question.

If students need to pay a bill with the Business Office, they can either pay online, by phone at 231-348-6607, or mail in a check.

Wow - another North Central faculty member is in the news! Congratulations to Mark Blaauw-Hara and his new band, the Lonely Lovers. What a great sound and we love the lyrics!

It was a breakup that ultimately led to the beginnings of Mark Blaauw-Hara’s latest music endeavor that now finds itself as a full band playing across Northern Michigan.
