This morning Tau Chapter is celebrating Sisterhood Sunday worshipping virtually at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, the home church of Tau Chapter president Lorraine Carey. We were proud to donate $500 to the D.W. Hoggard Scholarship Ministry.

Tau chapter usually has an annual weekend getaway trip and proceeds go towards our scholarship fund. We give out over $5000 in scholarships each year. This year we are doing a raffle to help us to still be able to give out scholarships despite the pandemic. Consider donating $5 or $10 for the cause. Tau chapter is proud to celebrate MLK day of service. We spread out to give supplies and clothing to the YMCA, Christ Lutheran Methodist Church, and Cradles to Crayons!

As we end the month of October, Tau Chapter celebrates its Founders with a virtual tea and scholarship awards celebration. Tau chapter is honored to award $4,000 in scholarships and book awards. Congratulations to out awardees Junius Jones IV, Faheem Saltan, Kiana Dunbar, Kayla Smith and Chelsea Middle brooks. Tau chapter wishes you much success as you continue your education!

Even during the pandemic Tau chapter remains dedicated to serving the community. Sorors Carey and Skipper are dropping off food packages to Caring for Friends. Caring for Friends provides food and friendship to homebound and medically compromised seniors, kids, and families across the five counties of Greater Philadelphia.
