Fox's Graduate Student Association is back and better than ever. Jaldhi Patel is leading the charge on the resurgence of the GSA, serving as president.

“The GSA creates opportunities for students to connect with each other, with faculty and those within the larger Fox School community. Our group can be a strong connection point and help students build relationships that they otherwise may never have had the chance to make.”

Fox’s Graduate SPO Women in Business creates an inclusive environment for female graduate students seeking both personal and professional development.

Margaret Kukuyeva, FOX ’21, is proud to lead and represent the group, in addition to pursuing her MBA degree. “As president, I focus on ensuring that all our initiatives and events align with our mission of empowering and supporting graduate students.”

The group provides an inclusive environment for members of all degree pursuits and industries to succeed, network and participate in social gatherings, such as “Sippin’ in the City”, a joint networking outing.

Meet Darwuin Escobar, a junior marketing student at Temple University. Being a first-generation student, Darwuin has found valuable resources to guide him along the way.

His involvement in the Association of Latino Professionals for America kickstarted his network, while Temple’s Center for Student Professional Development prepared him for the professional world, securing him an internship with Lincoln Financial.

Darwuin credits his family’s determination and perseverance for his success. He says, “My parents worked hard to give me the opportunity to attend a great school like Temple University, and seeing their work ethic motivates me to work just as hard.” For Darwuin, being a first-generation student means honoring his family with his achievements and inspiring other first-generation students by showing them that it is possible.
