There is a free poetry reading and open mic night featuring Shannon Frost Greenstein, who has a forthcoming short fiction collection with Thirty West Publishing - founded by our own alumnus, Josh Dale.

We'll meet at Haraz Coffee, located at 3421 Chestnut Street, University City, on Sunday, October 11th. The reading starts at 7 PM, and open mic registration starts at 6:45 PM.

All the poets in the Writing Studies program are welcome to share their work with the community. On top of all the wonderful poetry and philoso-fun, we're getting a 20% discount on all food and drink - a veritable night of it! Please join us if you can.

We wanted to share an opportunity for those of you who would like to learn more about climate writing. The fall 2026 Climate Education for Writers Program offers a free program for those in the Philadelphia area. Writers of all genres, and at any stage of their career, are eligible to apply for their fall 2026 program. The application deadline is May 31, 2026.
