Congratulations Dean DiAngelo on the generations of Hawks you’ve guided, mentored, and positively impacted during your time as dean of the Haub School!

After 27 years at the helm, Dean Joseph A. DiAngelo, BS ‘70, EdD, is stepping down as dean of the Saint Joseph’s Erivan K. Haub School of Business. Dean DiAngelo will be named dean emeritus and will return to the classroom as a professor of management in 2028. As the nation’s longest-serving business dean, his leadership elevated Haub to one of the most respected business schools in the country.

While his legacy includes vast national recognitions, Dean DiAngelo credits the lifelong achievements of his former students as his greatest success. We are thrilled that his journey now leads him back into the classroom to inspire the next generation of Hawks.

Please join us in congratulating him – and share your favorite memory or message for Dean DiAngelo in the comments below.

Big moves in Catholic education! 👏 Join us in congratulating Saint Joseph's alum William Gennaro (M.S. Educational Leadership) on his appointment as the next President of Archbishop Carroll!

William has been a staple at Carroll since 2012, working his way up from teacher and rowing coach to Principal, and now President. We love seeing our Hawks lead with such passion and purpose. The Hawk Will Never Die!

It is with great pleasure today that we share a message from Mr. Jay DeFruscio, COO of the Office of Catholic Education, announcing Archbishop Pérez’s approval to appoint Mr. William D. Gennaro, Jr. as the next President of Archbishop Carroll. His appointment is effective Monday, July 27, 2026.

Since 2012, Mr. Gennaro has been an integral part of the Archbishop Carroll school community. After founding the boys and girls rowing programs, he has faithfully served as a classroom educator; Department Chair; Assistant Principal of Student Services; and Assistant Principal for Academic
Affairs. For the past five and a half years he has served as Principal.

Mr. Gennaro graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and a minor in General Business Studies from Temple University. He has a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Joseph’s University and holds a certification in Secondary Education English from West Chester University’s College of Education and Social Work. Most recently, Mr. Gennaro was a member of the inaugural cohort of the Archdiocesan Rising Stars Leadership Academy.

We are excited for this next step in leadership for our … congratulations, Mr. Gennaro‼️

Congratulations to Denise Monahan, BA ’85, on her appointment as Regional President for Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey at M&T Bank!

Denise is already bringing a community-first approach to her leadership. She recently led a Back-to-School Drive that distributed over 500 backpacks to local students and spearheaded a week of giving, mobilizing hundreds of employees to pack meals in honor of the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

With over 40 years of financial services experience and a history of board service, including the Saint Joseph's University Board of Trustees, Denise perfectly exemplifies the Saint Joseph's mission of living as a person for others. We are incredibly proud of her ongoing impact in the Greater Philadelphia region. Join us in celebrating this exciting milestone for a true Hawk Hill leader!
