On August 4th, 2020, an explosion at the Port of Beirut killed over 178 people, left more than 6,500 injured and 300,000 people were left homeless. As international aid came to help the people of Lebanon, the corrupt Lebanese government stepped aside and uselessly watched as their own people continued to suffer.
Inflation is sky-high as Lebanon suffers from a shortage in the U.S. dollars caused by economic slowdown. There has also been a reduction in the central bank's foreign currency reserves, leading to a shortage in dollars for businesses and individuals. With a population of only five million, one million Lebanese citizens live below the poverty line.
The Sisters of the Beta Epsilon Chapter of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. ask you to take part in our fundraiser to raise money towards the Lebanese Food Bank, which is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) created to feed the people of Lebanon
Help us fill out this bingo card by sending us donations of the amounts within the boxes. We are accepting money through our PayPal (betaepsilonlta). Please direct message a sister for other forms of payment. It’s never too late to help. Your U.S. dollars have a large impact in feeding Lebanese people in need.
