Villiger Speech and Debate at Saint Joseph's University The Villiger Speech and Debate Society is one of SJU's oldest and most successful student run organizations.

Over 150 years old, the Villiger Speech and Debate Society has existed almost as long as the University. The team began as a debate program, but, over the years, the team has switched its primary focus to Limited Prep, Public Address, and Interpretation events. Every November the team welcomes hundreds of high schoolers to campus to compete in the Villiger Speech and Debate Tournament.
