Thank you, IBX Foundation, for featuring our Nursing program in the most recent episode of the Making Change Happen docuseries. Our Nursing student, Sharandy Osei-Tutu, shared how the Nurses for Tomorrow scholarship helped ease the financial stress that came with enrolling in the program as an adult student.

This mini documentary showcases how scholarships impact students, providing them with confidence and easing financial stressors to help them focus on their studies. Giving students like Sharandy the opportunity to pursue their dreams positively impacts Philadelphia’s health care community.

For Michael and Olivia, Community College of Philadelphia is more than a place to earn a degree. It’s a community built on support, collaboration, and opportunity. 🩺💛💙 CCP Nursing earns national recognition!

Community College of Philadelphia’s Nursing program has been named a 2026 Center of Excellence by the National League for Nursing (NLN). One of just 20 nursing programs nationwide to receive this year’s honor and one of only two community colleges recognized.

We are excited to announce that Tommy Tangie has been selected as the 2026-2027 Spring Garden Records Artist in Residence.

Tommy is a trumpet player, DJ and recording artist who combines his skills and talent to bring a multifaceted show to any audience. A performance that demonstrates clean, creative mixes on the decks, spiced up with lyrical and vibrant trumpet solos, with a hint of island flavor. Tommy is a true veteran of the stage with more than 25 years of experience and is versed in various styles, including house, lounge, dance remixes and open format.
