DUSNA at the 74th Annual NSNA Convention – Houston, TX
From April 8th to 11th, DUSNA traveled to Houston, Texas, for the 74th Annual NSNA Convention. The week was filled with opportunities for professional growth, meaningful connections, and engagement with nursing students from across the country. Throughout the conference, we attended thought-provoking sessions and leadership development events that strengthened our knowledge and passion for nursing. Outside of the convention, we explored Houston, including Discovery Green and the vibrant downtown area, experiencing the city’s culture and energy. We also stepped outside the conference setting to learn some line dancing, fully embracing the Texas experience. Drexel showed up and showed out, representing with pride and dedication throughout the entire week.
Awards & Recognition:
🏅Drexel University was recognized as one of the Top NSNA Membership Schools, highlighting our strong engagement, leadership, and commitment to professional nursing involvement at the national level. This recognition reflects the dedication of our members to active participation in NSNA initiatives, advocacy, and continued excellence in nursing leadership.
🏅 Drexel seniors attended the UWorld NCLEX Mini Review to strengthen their preparation for the NCLEX licensure exam. The session provided high-yield content review and valuable strategies to support their success on the exam.
🏅 10 Drexel students competed in the UWorld Challenge and achieved outstanding success, answering 18 consecutive questions and ranking among the top-performing teams. As a result, all participating students were awarded a free UWorld subscription to support their future NCLEX preparation.
We also served as delegates representing Pennsylvania, casting votes to influence national nursing policy.
