We have a student body of about 200 Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences graduate students enrolled in one of our 6 programs: the professional DPT (P-DPT), post-professional DPT (PP-DPT), PhD, MHS, Advanced Certificate in Hand and Upper Quarter Rehabilitation or Advanced Certificate in Pediatric Rehabilitation. 3rd year Drexel DPT student Alexis had the opportunity to visit APTA Headquarters with her clinical cohort at R2P! They toured APTA Headquarters in Alexandria, VA and learned more about PT advocacy and the important role physical therapists can play in advocating for their patients and the profession. A great experience learning more about the impact of PT beyond the clinic! 🩺💪

👏 Margaret Finley, PT, PhD, has been promoted from Associate Professor to Full Professor.
👏 Heather Brossman, PT, DPT, MS, DHSc, has been promoted from Assistant Clinical Professor to Associate Clinical Professor.

What an exciting day welcoming our DPT Class of 2029 to Drexel University! 🎉 Our newest DPT students are joining us from 14+ states and more than 40 undergraduate universities, bringing with them unique experiences and perspectives! We are thrilled they’ve chosen to make Drexel their home for the next 2.5 years as they learn, grow, and begin their journey toward becoming physical therapists. 7 of our students from the Class of 2027 just returned home from an incredible week long trip to Zacapa, Guatemala! In partnership with Hearts in Motion, they worked alongside SPTs from Arcadia University, 5 clinician mentors, and 2 pediatric residents. Throughout the week, they participated in treatment days at established and mobile clinic locations, collaborated with local therapists through an information sharing session, and gained hands on experiences they’ll carry with them throughout their future careers as PTs! Safe to say it’s a week they’ll never forget!🩺🫀🇬🇹✨
