Meet Our Leadership: Heather Locke Green, International President

To launch our new leadership spotlight series, we're proud to introduce the woman guiding our International Governing Board: International President Heather Locke Green.

For more than 26 years, Heather has dedicated her career to higher education, helping institutions grow the resources that open doors for students. Today, she serves as Executive Director of Annual Giving at The University of Texas at San Antonio, where she leads efforts to connect alumni and friends with meaningful ways to support the university.

Heather is known as an innovator in higher education fundraising. She helped launch the first university crowdfunding program in Texas, and her team has since led four giving days that raised more than $2.3 million toward UTSA's $500 million Be Bold Campaign. Her impact was recently recognized with the University Excellence Award for Leadership, one of the highest honors UTSA confers each year. Before UTSA, she brought her expertise to West Point and the United States Naval Academy.

Her commitment to Delta Phi Epsilon runs just as deep. A longtime volunteer, Heather previously served as President of the Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation, championing the scholarships and programs that invest in our sisters' futures. A lifelong learner herself, she holds a master's degree in adult and higher education administration from UTSA and a bachelor's degree from St. Norbert College, and she is currently pursuing her MBA.

Beyond her professional achievements, Heather's greatest joys are traveling with her husband, Ron, and being "Magga" to her grandsons, Bellamy and Emmette.

Heather's leadership reflects the heart of our sisterhood: a commitment to lifting others up, building for the future, and leading with courage and purpose. We are grateful to have her at the helm.

Dear Members of the Delta Phi Epsilon Board,

I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for being selected as a recipient of the Delta
Phi Epsilon graduate scholarship. It is truly an honor to be recognized and supported by an
organization that has had such a meaningful impact on my personal and professional
growth.

As I begin my second year of my MBA, this scholarship plays an important role in making
that next step more accessible. Beyond the financial support, it serves as a reminder that
the Delta Phi Epsilon community continues to believe in and invest in its members long
after graduation. That encouragement means more to me than I can fully express.

My experience with Delta Phi Epsilon has shaped who I am today. Through the friendships I
built, the leadership opportunities I embraced, and the values the organization instilled in
me, I developed both the confidence and the motivation to pursue ambitious goals. Those
experiences continue to guide me as I take this next step in my academic and professional
journey.

I am especially grateful to be part of a network of women who uplift one another and are
committed to making a positive impact. Receiving this scholarship motivates me to
continue striving for excellence and to represent Delta Phi Epsilon with pride in everything I
do. I hope to give back to the community in the future and support others in the same way I
have been supported.

Thank you again for your generosity, your belief in my potential, and your continued
commitment to empowering women through education.

—Meet Natalia from our Delta Pi Chapter!

"I never saw myself joining a sorority, but when I met the amazing women of the Delta Phi Epsilon chapter at Penn State, that all changed. What I loved, and still do love, about Delta Phi Epsilon is the emphasis on authenticity and appreciating the unique qualities each sister has to offer.

Beyond this, the many philanthropies and emphasis on care for them spoke to me. I believe ANAD, CFF, and the Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation are such important pillars of our sisterhood. Helping to fundraise/raise awareness for these organizations has made me feel closer to my sisters and given me a sense of fulfillment that I would not have found otherwise.

During my first year in the sorority, I was given the opportunity to run for VP of Equity and Belonging, and now have been in the position for almost 2 years. Nothing makes me happier than being a leader for this remarkable group of women, and without Dphie, I never would have been eligible for incredible opportunities like this. They say your fellow sorority members are “sisters,” but this rings immensely true to me.

Every single woman in my chapter feels like family to me, and Delta Phi Epsilon has brought me community I never knew I could find. I would not change my experience in DPhiE for the world, and I am so thankful I found this organization.“

Statement from Delta Phi Epsilon Leadership

The Delta Phi Epsilon International Governing Board is deeply troubled by the allegations of sexual assault involving students at Cornell University. These reports of sexual assault within the fraternity and sorority community are a painful reminder of the responsibility we all share to create safer communities.

Sexual violence has no place anywhere in society. Delta Phi Epsilon believes every person deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Consent must be freely given, boundaries must
be respected and those who experience sexual violence deserve to be heard and supported.

We extend our support and compassion to survivors and to all those affected by sexual violence. We believe survivors should be treated with dignity, respect, and care, and that those who come forward, like Jane Doe, should have access to meaningful support and resources.

As a sisterhood committed to courageous leadership, we believe our members have a role to play: educating ourselves, looking out for one another, speaking up when something is wrong and helping create a culture in which people feel safe seeking help.

We stand with survivors of sexual violence and with all those working to create safer campus communities.
