~TOUCH HOUR OPPORTUNITY~

The Nutrition in Medicine Club will be partnering with MANNA on Friday April 5th from 7am-10am.

For those who don't know... MANNA is a great organization that helps to provide healthy meals to those with chronic illness that require specific dietary restrictions. They are mainly volunteer run, so we will be helping to prep or package these meals. No prior cooking experience is necessary. Please wear long pants, closed toe shoes, and a hat (unless you want to wear one of the lovely hairnets provided by MANNA).

A big Thank You to everyone that came to hear Dr. Greger talk yesterday! It was wonderful to learn so much about the positive impact switching to a plant-based diet can have on not only halting the progression but also reversing many health problems like diabetes, and atherosclerosis. Thank you to everyone who helped with our first cooking and nutrition workshop at Project Home through Cooking Up Courage.
This was the first in a series of workshops sponsored by the Human Touch Community Impact Grant from the AOF! We will be hosting further workshops to help teach those in shelters and recovery centers nutrition and cooking skills to empower them.
