🇺🇸 SJU History Professor, Dr. Zeman attended the National Encampment of the Allied Orders of the Grand Army of the Republic that was held in Gettysburg, July 29-August 2, 2026.

This was the 145th Encampment, and members of the Allied Orders came from all over the country to attend. The Department of Pennsylvania was well represented at the encampment. These encampments are held all over the country, once a year. Last year was in Houston, Texas; next year it will be in Franklin, Tennessee, 25 minutes south of Nashville.

The SJU History Department was honored to be part of such a meaningful event and to see so many alumni, colleagues, and friends come together to celebrate our shared past while helping preserve it for future generations.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone whose hard work made this event possible. It was a fabulous evening, and we are grateful to have been a part of it!
