Last Saturday , participated in the Philly Spring Clean up. Our scholars teamed up to give back to the West Philadelphia community. From picking up litter to showing real community pride, they proved that leadership goes beyond the classroom.
Building brighter futures one block at a time. 🧹✨

This Saturday is all about showing up and making an impact! 💪
9th–11th grade students will be participating in the Philly Spring Clean-Up 🧹dress comfortably and wear something you don’t mind getting dirty.
Seniors 🎓 will be preparing for Senior Recognition Day and taking photos, so make sure to dress nicely! Don’t forget your ID and permission slip (submit online or bring a note with you).
Let’s come ready to work, represent, and have a great time. See you Saturday! 🙌

Future scientists in the making 🔬✨

Our Upward Bound scholars had an incredible visit to Teva, where they explored careers in the pharmaceutical industry, participated in hands-on experiments, and learned directly from an inspiring panel of professionals. To top it all off, they enjoyed lunch and even got a cool ice cream demonstration! 🍦

Experiences like this open doors, spark curiosity, and bring classroom learning to life. The future is bright! 💊🧪

Last Saturday, Upward Bound at CCP proudly hosted an incredible Discover CCP event for TRIO students 🎉

We were excited to welcome our partners from Temple Upward Bound, Temple Upward Bound Math & Science, and UPenn’s Talent Search program for a full day of exploration, connection, and learning about all that Community College of Philadelphia has to offer.

The day kicked off with powerful and inspiring remarks from Dr. Derrick Perkins, followed by a student welcome and admissions presentation. Students then engaged in five dynamic breakout sessions covering the Catto Scholarship, the transfer process, dual enrollment opportunities, the Center for Male Engagement, and valuable college preparation insights from Dr. Esters.

We wrapped up this amazing experience with Campus Philly, highlighting the endless opportunities available to college students in Philadelphia 🌆

Thank you to everyone who made this day impactful and inspiring for our future scholars!
