Check out : Botany of Nations: Indigenous Ecological Knowledge and the Lewis & Clark Corps of Discovery.
With the opening of “Botany of Nations” at the Academy of Natural Sciences on March 27th, being a little over a month ago, there was a large focus on the interactive elements associated with the exhibit. As students working closely with the leadership team with ANS through the Marketing and Engagement class taught by Program Director Pam Yau ( )
Here were some of our favorite additions: (not in any order)
1. 3-D Printed Models of each plant species
2. Interactive Lewis and Clark Herbarium
3. Plant Portal Scannable Link
4. Indigenious Voices Video Presentation
5. Plant Sensory Pod (Smell the Plants)
The exhibit is on view at The Academy of Natural Sciences through February 14, 2027. They have also added plants on the parkway through February 12, 2027. Be sure to check it out: Outside the Academy of Natural Sciences, a new landscape replaces brick and concrete with vibrant native plants. Created to celebrate Botany of Nations: Indigenous Ecological Knowledge and the Lewis & Clark Corps of Discovery, this garden brings the exhibition, and the importance of sustainable landscapes, to life.
