Drexel University Museum Leadership Graduate Program The Museum Leadership Program prepares students to embrace the opportunities and challenges that museums face now and in the future.

The Museum Leadership Program at Drexel University prepares future museum professionals to embrace the opportunities and challenges that museums face now and to anticipate those that will shape the future. Geared to working professionals, this 45-credit Master of Science degree, which includes a practicum, can be completed full- or part-time. The innovative curriculum includes instruction in board

development; planning and design; audience development; financial management; resource development; technology; education and public programming; partnerships and collaboration; and legal and ethical issues for museums. The program combines exceptional resources including the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, world-class local institutions, and an international network of forward-thinking museums and museum professionals, with Drexel’s strengths in applied education, arts administration, business, information science and online learning.

The International Council of Museums will vote on a new definition of museums in September. The proposed change includes language about "social justice, global equality and planetary wellbeing." Critics say the text is too political for most museums to employ.
