We’re thrilled to announce the open call for Handmade: 2026 Juried Alumni Biennial!

Opening next summer at Moore College of Art & Design, this special exhibition is part of Craft in America’s Handwork: Celebrating American Craft 2026, a nationwide initiative honoring the enduring importance of the handmade.

All Moore alumni are invited to submit up to three works in any craft medium—from clay, fiber, glass, metal, and wood to experimental and conceptual approaches.

Submission Window: Nov. 14, 2025 – Jan. 5, 2026
Sliding Scale Fee: $5–$50

From December 2–9, 2025, the Moore community will rally for an epic showdown— alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends all competing to see which major will rise to the top!

The major with the most donors will take the crown, earning its students a campus celebration and massive bragging rights.

Whether you’re repping Graphic Design, Art Education, or another Moore major, this is your moment to give, share and celebrate the creative spirit that makes Moore shine.

Join us for a virtual Alumni Artist Talk tomorrow, October 22nd at 12pm featuring Philadelphia-based mixed media artist Natalie Flor Negrón ’11 in conversation with Professor Alice Oh. Together, they’ll reflect on Negrón’s creative journey, the influence of her Moore education on her practice and the themes behind her current exhibition, on view in the Alumni Gallery October 4–November 15, 2025.

🌟Alumni Artist Talk: Natalie Flor Negrón ’11 🌟

Join us Wednesday, Oct. 22 at noon on Zoom for a special conversation with Philadelphia-based artist Natalie Flor Negrón ’11 and Professor Alice Oh. Natalie will share insights into her mural-making practice and mixed media techniques, reflecting on how her Moore education has shaped her path.

Her upcoming exhibition in the Alumni Gallery (on view Oct. 4–Nov. 15, 2025) will showcase vibrant works that merge printmaking, graffiti, and industrial materials with bold patterns and references to her Puerto Rican and Irish heritage. Celebrate the opening reception on Friday, Oct. 3 from 5:30 - 9 p.m.

Moore’s newest residence, Rittenhouse Hall, was recently highlighted in a back-to-school feature by the Philadelphia Inquirer 🏢✨

The article emphasizes the new space’s role in helping students live, learn and grow in the heart of the city. Just a short walk from Moore’s campus, the building increases Moore’s housing capacity by 33 percent and makes it possible to guarantee four years of housing for all students.
