Spreading Joy Together: DeMolay Consistory #1 & Tindley Temple Unite for Annual Bicycle Drive

This holiday season, on December 24, 2025, the Fraters of DeMolay Consistory No. 1 (Valley of
Philadelphia) and Tindley Temple United Methodist Church came together to spread joy through our annual Bicycle Drive. Thanks to the generosity of the Fraters and community partners, we were able to collect and
distribute 17 bikes to the children of the South, West, North, West and Southwest Philadelphia communities —ensuring that the spirit of the season reached every heart. We thank S.P. Rudolph E. King III, 32° for leading this endeavor and partnership with Pastor John Brice to serve. We would also like to thank G.I.G. Allen Doman 33°, G.I.G. James T. Willoughby 33° and S.P. Ira Hunter 32° for assisting the committee with bicycle deliveries.

Fraters and the congregation worked side by side to organize and prepare, turning simple gifts into moments of happiness, hope, and love. This effort was more than a bicycle drive, it reflected unity, service, and compassion in action.

We are grateful to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported this initiative. When we come together with a shared mission, our impact reaches far beyond what we can see.

Friendship Night with Martin Luther King Jr. Consistory No. 86 and Mary E. Gould Assembly No. 61 is always the best end to a great Scottish Rite Year! The best part of this is taking an opportunity to help the less fortunate. Pamoza International is a Christian Based Charity that helps children and families in Malawi, Africa with food, healthcare, family support and educational fees. Ten U.S. dollars can ensure a child gets breakfast for an entire year!!! We love being a community partner with this great organization and look forward to bringing in more assistance from the Orient Pennsylvania. We also take this opportunity give awards to some of our hardworking Fraters!!! I love Friendship Night!
