PCOM, a private, not-for-profit accredited institution of higher education, operates three campuses (PCOM, PCOM Georgia and PCOM South Georgia) and offers doctoral degrees in clinical psychology, educational psychology, osteopathic medicine, pharmacy, physical therapy, and school psychology. The college also offers graduate degrees in applied behavior analysis, applied positive psychology, biomedical sciences, forensic medicine, medical laboratory science, mental health counseling, physician assistant studies, and school psychology. “This patient had seen so many specialists and still didn’t have answers. Then through OMT, we were able to help identify what was happening and improve her symptoms.”

Third-year DO student and OMM Scholar Lauren Lussier (DO ’27) turned that rare case into a first-place win at the American Academy of Osteopathy’s A. Hollis Wolf Case Presentation Competition, showcasing how osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) can change a patient’s life.

Tytianna Robinson (DO ’27) and Camryn Butera (DO ’27) helped explore that question in a recent study alongside faculty mentor Frederick J. Goldstein. Their work contributes to ongoing research examining how cannabis-based therapies may help improve pain, sleep and daily functioning.
